Nancy L. Henn, 77, formerly of Centre Twp., died Tuesday, April 23, 2013 in Berks Heim where she resided since August 2008. She was the wife of Daniel S. Henn, Sr., also a resident at Berks Heim. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late John F., Sr. and Ara Lucille (Carl) Reichardt. Nancy first worked at Luden's, Reading; and then as a sewing machine operator for the Crown Knitting Mill and Burkey Underwear Company. She last worked as a licensed practical nurse for nine years for the Reading Hospital. Nancy was a member of St. John's (Gernant's) United Church of Christ, Ontelaunee Twp., where she was a Sunday School teacher; a former Deacon; and a member and treasurer of the choir. Nancy enjoyed playing the organ and was a soloist at weddings and other occasions. She was also a volunteer for the Literacy Council. Surviving in addition to her husband are four sons: Ralph R. Shappell, Jr., husband of Lisa Heidi (Bausher) Shappell, Hamburg; Randy C. Shappell, husband of Sharon L. (Bausher) Shappell, Centre Twp.; Daniel S. Henn, Jr., Orwigsburg; and Cory D. Henn, Sr., Valley View; and four daughters: Elaine D. (Shappell), wife of Carl Deitrich, Centre Twp.; Sharon L. (Henn) Babiarz, Centre Twp.; Vicki D. (Henn), wife of Dennis Myers, Robesonia; and Joann S. (Henn), wife of Bernard Garman, Hamburg. Nancy is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and one brother: John F. Reichardt, Jr., Reading. She was predeceased by a sister: Barbara (Reichardt) Daughtry. Services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 am from St. John's (Gernant's) United Church of Christ, 12 Gernant's Road. Burial will follow in St. John's (Gernant's) Cemetery.
