Milton R. "Bill" Turner, 81, of Perry Twp., died Monday, January 20, 2014 in his residence. He was the husband of Joyce E. Turner. They were married on February 14, 1987 and would have celebrated 27 years of marriage.
Born in Shoemakersville, he was the son of the late Raymond F. and Mary R. (Daughtry) Turner. Milton (Bill) worked as a bar polisher for Carpenter Technology, retiring in 1994. He was a member of Mohrsville Church of the Brethren. Bill loved his '33 and '38 Ford Street Rods; and was a member of various car clubs.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: Pierce M. Turner, and wife Mona, Topton; and Grant R. Turner, and wife Peggy, Hamburg; one daughter: Mary-Jo L. (Turner), wife of Michael Shaw, Mohnton; three step-children: Ginger Exley, and husband Chris, Massachusetts; Sager Moritzky, and wife Aysun, California; and Jordan Cronk, and husband David, Washington State; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Milton is also survived by one brother: Burlin A. Turner, and wife Ruth, Shoemakersville; and one sister: Gloria Z. (Turner), wife of Marshall Smith, Leesport. He was predeceased by one brother: Floyd N. Turner.
A Celebration of Milton's Life will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 1:00 pm from Mohrsville Church of the Brethren, 1542 Shoey Road, Mohrsville, PA 19541. A visitation with the family will be held in the church from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm on February 18.
