Mildred S. Rumberger, 103, a resident at ManorCare, Laureldale, formerly of Hamburg, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021. She was the wife of the late Bruce A. Rumberger, passed away May 17, 1987. Born in Maidencreek Twp., she was the daughter of the late Clarence J. and Stella M. (Shucker) Shrom. She was a member of First United Church of Christ, Hamburg. She worked as a sewing machine operator at Hamburg Knitting Mill for 31 years, retiring in 1982. She enjoyed reading. She also enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is survived by two sons: Russell C. Rumberger, Reading, and Kerry B. Rumberger husband of Lori, Tilden Twp; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister: Pearl E. (Shrom) Carl. She was predeceased by her daughter: Janet L. (Rumberger) Kuhr, passed away December 26, 2019; and her siblings.
