Mildred H. Deputy, 67, of Bern Twp., passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 in Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center, with family by her side. She was the wife of Edward E. Deputy, who died July 20, 1997. Born in Summit Hill, she was the daughter of the late Martha Garretson. Mildred worked as a store manager for Hess Mart at the Lancaster Avenue location and then at the Mt. Penn location until her retirement. Mildred loved her children and grandchildren. She is survived by three daughters: Tammy M. Deputy and Kay A. Deputy, both of Bern Twp.; and Elaina J. (Deputy), wife of David Lengle, Mt. Penn; and three grandchildren: Lance, Abbey, and Sarah. Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Leesport. Burial will follow in Leesport Cemetery.
