Mildred I. Berg, 80, of Spring Twp., passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 in her residence. She was the wife of Harold E. Berg, Jr., who died August 2, 2009.

Born in Mohrsville, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Emily (Seifrit) Strause. Mildred was a 1961 graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School. She worked for YUASA Battery; and last worked in the dietary unit at Berks Heim. Mildred enjoyed bingo, going to casinos and reading.

Mildred is survived by her children: Douglas C. Berg, Mt. Joy; Donna G. (Berg), wife of Michael A. Gardecki, Spring Twp.; daughter-in-law: Michalene A. Berg; four grandchildren: Nicholas Berg, Nathan Berg, Jordan Gardecki and Ryan Gardecki, husband of Ashley; and one great-granddaughter: Olivia. She is also survived by her sister: Betty Weidenhammer, wife of Larry, Leesport. Mildred was predeceased by a brother: Herman Strause; and a sister: Mary Brown.

Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Fairview (Belleman's) Cemetery, Centre Twp.
