Michael A. Vega, 45, of Bethel Twp., passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.

Born in Newburgh, New York, Michael was the son of Carmelo Vega and Pilar Alvarez, wife of Eddie Saez. He worked as a security guard. Michael was a sports fan; enjoying the Raiders, baseball and college sports. He was gentle and kind and known to be a jokester. Michael had a strong will to live; defying the odds as his mother was told that he wouldn't live past age nine.

Surviving in addition to his father, mother and step-father is his daughter: Celencia Vega; sister: Desirae Ransom, wife of Shawn Haag; brother: Freddie Alvarez, husband of Sarah; sister-in-law: Megan Vega; and nieces and nephews: Isaiah, Lana, Nathan, Arianna, April, Raymond and Anthony. Michael was predeceased by his brother: Raymond Vega.
