Michael S. Ryan, 72, of Phoenix, Arizona and formerly of Hyde Villa, died February 22, 2014. Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late Philip F. Ryan and Emma (Smith) Hock. He was a 1959 graduate of Muhlenberg High School. Michael was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving from 1959-1963. Michael is survived by one son: Michael K. Ryan, and his wife Roberta; one daughter Tamara Ryan, both of Phoenix; three grandchildren: Kelley, Kendra, and Tony; and one sister: Phyllis P., wife of Samuel Yoder, Shoemakersville.
