Michael P. Phillips, 58, of Hamburg, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021 in Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Twp. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Ronald J. and Madeline S. (Dufft) Phillips. He graduated from Muhlenberg High School in 1980. Mike was currently employed at Materion as a Lab Technician. He worked there for the past 30 + years. He enjoyed going to the beach, Philadelphia Sports, and music. He was a fan of the Three Stooges, and Tom Jones. He will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor. Mike is survived by a brother: Bernard F. Phillips, significant other of Marlene I. Schwoyer, Sinking Spring; two sisters: Diana L. (Phillips) Edwards, West Reading, and Lynn M. Phillips, Muhlenberg Twp; his nephews and nieces: Ryan T. Phillips, companion of Jenny Munoz, Lauren M. Herring companion of Sean Jones, and Matthew D. Herring, husband of Lauren I. (Schaeffer) Herring; and three great-nieces. He is also survived by his longtime companion Judy Kreggenwinkel, Wilmington, DE. Michael was predeceased by a nephew: Michael J. Phillips. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport, PA 19533. Burial will follow in Laureldale Cemetery.
