Michael P. Miller, 62, of Black Creek Twp., Luzerne County, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2022 in his residence after a 5 year journey with lung cancer. He was the husband of Kimberly A. (Frame) Miller. They were married August 18, 1979 and celebrated 42 years of marriage.
Born in Phoenixville, he was the son of Eunice K. (Good) Miller, Douglassville, and the late Floyd S. Miller. He graduated from Christopher Dock Mennonite High School, Lansdale in 1977; and later received a Bachelor's Degree in Finance from DeSales University. He worked as safety manager for Velocity Rail Solutions - A. Stucki Company, being active in that role even up until Wednesday. He previously worked for Savage Services for 23 years. He was a member of LCBC Hazleton where he served as usher. He enjoyed golfing and riding his Peloton bike. He was a member of Berks Spyder Riders, with his last ride in February.
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are two sons: Thomas S., husband of Adrienne P. (Gorham) Miller, Smyrna, DE, and Reuben J. Miller, Minot, ND; four daughters: Elizabeth R. Miller, Reinholds, Sarah N. Miller, wife of Arul D. Selvarayan, Fredericksburg, Kathleen Grace (Miller) Acevedo, wife of Raul, Smyrna, DE, and Emma R. Miller, Reinholds; and his grandchildren: Lily, Arizona, and Seth Miller, Juliana and Peyton Acevedo, Harper and Hannah Selvarayan. He is also survived by his brothers: Peter E. and James R. Miller, both of Spring City; and his sisters: Gretchen M. McTavish, Sarasota, FL, and Rachel (Miller) Young, East Greenville; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services to celebrate Michael's life will be held Friday, March 18, 2022 at 6 pm at LCBC Berks, 130 Redner's Way, Leesport, PA 19533. A public visitation with the family will be held from 5 to 6 pm at LCBC Berks. Burial will be private in Vincent Mennonite Cemetery, Spring City.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Michael's honor to LCBC Hazleton or Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
