Merle A. Grim, 88, formerly of Hamburg, died June 29, 2014 in Cottage Glen Assisted Living Facility, Tooele, Utah. She was the widow of Robert C. Grim of Hamburg who died Oct 25, 2003. She was born on Nov. 20, 1925 to Thomas C. Simpson and Anna M. Tiley in Port Carbon, Schuylkill County, PA. She was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church, Hamburg, PA. Merle was preceded in death by a son Michael and is survived by son Bruce and his wife Margaret residing in Stansbury Park, Utah, 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and one sister: Ermine J. Stockler, Strafford, PA. She was also predeceased by two brothers: Glenn M. Simpson and Charles Simpson.Merle was a great mom who loved to play the piano and enjoyed walking her dogs in Hamburg. She worked in the Office of the Hamburg Plow Works for many years. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
