Mearl N. Hoffman, 90, of Palmyra and formerly of Hamburg, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 3, 2026 with her daughters by her side. She was the wife of Paul C. Hoffman, who died December 4, 1997.Born in Slatington, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Esther (Lehman) Clause. Mearl graduated from Hamburg High School and Bryland Beauty School. She first worked at the 5&10 in Hamburg, Windsor Knitting Mill and a dental office. Mearl also worked at the Windsor Press, Hamburg for many years. She and her husband Paul operated Hoffman's Beauty Shop from their residence on Fourth Street in Hamburg. Mearl had been a member of Exeter Bible Church. She played piano at Sunday School and sang in the choir and quartets at church. Mearl enjoyed watching the Phillies, shopping, exercising, taking day trips and traveling. She enjoyed attending the activities of her daughters and grandsons. Mearl is survived by two daughters: Paula C. (Hoffman) Enzman, wife of Richard Enzman, Blandon; and Marcy L. (Hoffman) Garman, wife of Shawn Garman, Palmyra; and three grandsons: Michael Garman, Pittsburgh; Mitchell Garman, Hershey; and Matthew Garman, Palmyra. She is also survived by her sister: Gloria M. Yeager, Douglassville.Services will be held on Friday at 10:30 am at Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Zion's Cemetery, Perry Twp.
