It is with great sadness that Matt Rourke's family share the news of his death. Born in County Westmeath, Ireland, Matt moved to England in his twenties and met and married Carol (Roberts) on April Fool's Day 1967. They have been married 55 years. After welcoming two children, he and his family moved to America in 1975 with the idea of moving on to Zimbabwe and then to New Zealand…but he settled in the village of Lenhartsville PA and stayed in his chosen country, even becoming a US citizen in 2006. His children, Mark Rourke and Heidi (Rourke) Shade blessed him with five grandchildren and three great grandchildren whom he loved dearly. Maybe even a bit more than golf!

Matt was preceeded in death by three brothers and one sister and one precious grand child. We know they will be welcoming him with open arms while we here grieve his passing.

A celebration of life will be held privately by the family; to honor Matt, book a tee time with those you love and think of him.
