Obituary

Mary E. Danenhower, 92, formerly of Mohrsville, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024 in Keystone Villa, Blandon. She was the wife of Lester A. Danenhower, who died April 21, 1989.

Born in Hamburg, she was the daughter of the late William and Mae (Roth) Stine. Mary worked for twenty-seven years for AT&T, then Western Electric, until retiring in 1989. She was a member of St. Michael's Church, Tilden Twp. Mary loved to travel, read and crochet. She was a member of Conrad Weiser Chapter 449 Order of Eastern Star. She would also volunteer with Masonic Lodge activities.

Mary is survived by one son: Gene L. Danenhower, husband of Irene (Ramos), Denver; and one daughter: Diane L. (Danenhower), wife of Keith Reitnour, Norfolk, VA; two grandsons: Gene Danenhower, Jr., husband of Patty; and Kevin Reitnour, husband of Tracy; three great-grandchildren: Taylor, Jordan and Morgan; and one great-great-granddaughter: Rowan. She is also survived by a brother: Richard Stine, Hamburg. Mary was predeceased by a brother: Robert Stine; and her longtime companion: Kenneth B. Miller.

Services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am from St. Michael's Church, 529 St. Michael's Road, Hamburg. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Tilden Twp. A viewing will be held on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport; and at the church on Saturday 9:00 to 10:00 am.
