Marvin W. Noecker, formerly of Centerport, a resident at Maidencreek Place, Ontelaunee Twp., passed away Saturday, June 19, 2021 in Maidencreek Place. He was the husband of the late Marianna (Hoy) Noecker, died April 4, 2010.
Born in Centerport, he was the son of the late John P. and Ida M. (Zimmerman) Noecker. He was a member of Schuylkill Valley Bible Church. He was a US Army Veteran from the Korean War. Marvin was owner and operator of Noecker's Garage, Centerport from 1958-1994, and the garage has been in the family from 1934 until the present. Marvin was an original founding member of Central Berks Fire Co., Centerport; where he served as the third Fire Chief, and also an Assistant Fire Chief. He was a dedicated member of the Central Berks Lions Club, and also Vaux Lodge No. 406 F&AM, Hamburg. Marvin always enjoyed traveling, and enjoyed his time driving tow truck in the business.
He is survived by a son: John P. "Butch" Noecker, husband of Faye D. (Stubblebine), Mohrsville; a daughter: Anita F. "Spike" Noecker, California; four grandchildren: Andrew and Elizabeth Cichowicz, and Michael and Thomas Noecker; and three great-grandchildren: Alexander Noecker, and Raelyn, and Kylie Cichowicz. He is also survived by a sister: Arlene (Noecker) Gilmer, widow of Roger "Bunky" Gilmer, Leesport. He was predeceased by a son: Scott Noecker, and a daughter: Amanda Noecker.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 10:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport, PA 19533. Burial will follow in Fairview (Belleman's) Cemetery, Centre Twp. A viewing will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 am in the funeral home.
