Marvin C. Baseman, 81, of Baltimore, passed away in Riverview Care Center Nursing Home, Essex, Maryland, where he resided for two years. He was the husband of Dorothy M. (Dissinger) Baseman, who died September 6, 2014. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Marvin B. and Marion (Hoey) Baseman. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. Marvin worked as a machinist for Glen L. Martin Air Products, Baltimore; Martin Marietta; and American Bank Stationary. Marvin is survived by one son: Daniel T. Baseman, Baltimore; one daughter: Melanie A. (Baseman), wife of Ray J. Wieringa, Odenton, Maryland; and one brother: Bruce B. Baseman, Eastern Shore, Maryland. Services will be held on Friday at 2:00 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
