Bashore
October 30, 1947 – May 3, 2025
Marjorie E. Bashore, 77, of Perry Twp., passed away Saturday, May 3, 2025 peacefully surrounded by family. She was the wife of Allen R. Bashore. They were married August 14, 1965 and celebrated 59 years of marriage.
Born in Upper Bern Twp., she was the daughter of the late James H. and Edna G. (Berger) Graeff. She graduated from Hamburg Area High School in 1965. Marjorie was a member of Zion Blue Mountain UCC. She loved her dogs (Angel, Pixie, Cinnamon, Sugar), enjoyed camping with friends, and loved baking and cooking. In her younger years she attended a cake decorating school, sold Avon, and enjoyed ceramics. She loved to take care of her house, and was a caregiver to many in the area. She was also a member of the Shartlesville Fire Company.
Surviving in addition to her husband is a son: Rodney B. Bashore, husband of Angela (Rausch), Tilden Twp., three daughters: Crystal G. Bashore, companion of Matthew Corbett, Mystic, CT, Kayla M. Bashore, wife of Craig Smedley, Bloomington, IN, and Kaleena H. (Bashore) Roos, wife of Jesse Roos, Pottstown; a daughter-in-law: Christine M. (Wolfe) Bashore, Upper Tulpehocken Twp.; ten grandchildren: Shelby, Brianna, Caroline, Christopher, Allison, Keira, Corbin, Sophie, Renji, and Hawke; and four great-grandchildren: Raelynn, Rhyston, Zoltyn, and Zyana. She is also survived by a brother: Ronald A. Graeff; and a sister-in-law: Anna Graeff. She was predeceased by two sons: Keith A. Bashore, and Michael W. Bashore; and a brother: Thomas Graeff.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 9, 2025 at 11:00 am from Zion Blue Mountain UCC, 6573 Old Route 22, Bernville, PA 19506. Burial will follow in Strausstown Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 am in the church.
