Marilyn J. Koenig, 92, of Muhlenberg Twp., passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 in Berks Heim. She was the wife of William F. Koenig, III, who died October 29, 2016.

Born in West Leesport, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Edith (Miller) Dunkelberger. Marilyn worked in the cafeteria at Riverview Park Elementary School of the Muhlenberg School District. She had also worked as Zipf's Candies. Marilyn was a member of St. John's (Gernant's) Church, Ontelaunee Twp., where she was a member of the consistory and choir member for over sixty years. She volunteered at the Berks County Heritage Center. Marilyn enjoyed traveling, shopping, and spending time with her family.

Marilyn is survived by her children: Gary S. Koenig, husband of Diane, Oley Twp.; Anne L. Jarmoska, wife of Lee, Cumru Twp.; Richard W. Koenig, husband of Marianne, Womelsdorf; and Susan K. Vanderhoof, wife of Peter, Ormond By-The-Sea, Florida; seven grandchildren: Bryan, Kevin, Jennifer, Brandon, Steven, Hannah, and Christina; eleven great-grandchildren; and a twelfth great-grandchild on the way. She is also survived by a sister: Phyllis Rothenberger, Muhlenberg Twp. Marilyn was predeceased by a sister: Donna Boughter.

Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in St. John's (Gernant's) Cemetery, Ontelaunee Twp.
