Obituary

It is with heartfelt sadness and yet the gratitude of peacefulness that the family of Marian Jane Novotnak said goodbye to her on the morning of Wednesday December 18,2024.

Born April 12, 1938 as Marian Jane Suchan to Mary Banas and Alex Suchan, Marian first shared her life with Lawrence Victor Novotnak until his passing in October of 1984. From that marriage they shared the love and raising of 6

wonderful children: daughters Michelle (wife of Stanley Henne Jr.; Paula (wife of Steven Printz); and Stephanie Anne (companion to Bryan James); sons Neil, Luke and predeceased son Tom (who passed away far too young). Several years later she found her soulmate in Robert (Bobby Stoudt) who gave her the nickname "Mario" with affection and love. They had shared a wonderful life in Missouri before his passing in October of 2021.

Marian has a sister Diana (Cookie) Huber and brother Stephan Suchan, both of Pittsburgh, whom she loved and cherished.

She was known to her grandchildren as Baba; great-grandchildren as Big Baba; and to her "forever friend Dot" as Foxy Lady.

Marian in her early years was a Bell Telephone switchboard operator in Philadelphia and always enjoyed telling the story how she had to patch a call through to Jerry Lewis and got to talk to him personally. For many years she was a

bank teller in Hamburg which enabled her to enjoy meeting so many customers. Although her life was filled with many adventures, she would gruntingly admit that her greatest adventure was in raising her children. Mom loved to read and long

ago one of her dreams was to become a famous novelist. What she did not realize was that her life was a book; each chapter filled with loving memories of her life and those who were blessed to have been part of it.

Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she decorated her homes so beautifully. Her favorite Christmas music was old tunes from Andy Williams, so it was precious that she left this world surrounded by her Christmas tree and decorations,

listening to the soft sounds of Holiday tunes.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Hamburg is in charge of arrangements. For online condolences, please visit, www.leibenspergerfuneralhomes.com.
