Margaret L. Moyer, 69, of Muhlenberg Twp., passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 in Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. She was the wife of John M. Moyer. They were married on December 20, 2002 and celebrated twenty-two years of marriage.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of Warren H. Fisher, Muhlenberg Twp., and the late Betty J. (Mattern) Fisher. Margaret was a 1973 graduate of Muhlenberg High School; a 1983 graduate of Reading Hospital School of Surgical Technology; and a 2005 graduate of Reading Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for Reading Hospital, retiring in 2019.

Margaret was a member of Calvary Chapel, Oley. She was a member of Berks County Patriots and Central Fire Company, Laureldale. Margaret enjoyed gardening, going to Bible study, masquerade, and politics. She enjoyed doing volunteer work for Bent Limb Farm, Shoemakersville; WWII Weekend; and at the Dreibelbis Farm, Virginville. She also enjoyed genealogy research.

Surviving in addition to her husband and father are her children: Bryan R. Fisher, husband of Edna F. Fisher, Abbeville, LA; and Carolyn N. Benz, wife of Ray Neider, Wyomissing; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Margaret is also survived by her siblings: David Fisher, Robert Fisher, John Fisher and Barbara (Fisher) Nagle. She was predeceased by her daughter: Melanie L. Benz.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 7:30 pm at Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. A visitation with the family will be on Thursday from 6:00 to 7:30 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be on Friday, April 25, 2025 at 11:00 am in Laureldale Cemetery.
