Margaret M. Borkey, "Peg", 92, formerly of West Leesport Road, Leesport, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015 in the Laurel Center, Tilden Twp. She was the wife of Floyd W. Borkey, who died February 14, 1999. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Ross and Esther C. (Bernhardt) Major. Margaret worked as a sales clerk for the former Pomeroy's, Reading. She and her husband were also formerly co-owners of B & G Glass, Reading. Margaret and Floyd resided in various locations in the United States while he served his U.S. Army military career for 23 years. During their life together, travel was a favorite hobby. Margaret was a member of Epler's United Church of Christ, Bern Twp. She is survived by one grandson: Todd Borkey, and his wife Jane (Bair) Borkey, of Maryland; two great-grandchildren: Quinn Borkey, of Georgia; and Hillary (Borkey) Wilster, wife of Elliot Wilster, Virginia; and one great-great-granddaughter: Lylah Grace Wilster. Margaret was predeceased by a son: Barry L. Borkey. Services will be held on Sunday at 2:00 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Sunday 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Burial will be on Monday in Laureldale Cemetery.
