Lula M. Wilkerson, 85, of Upper Bern Twp., passed away Saturday, August 18, 2018 in Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Twp. She was the companion of David B. Zerbe, Upper Bern Twp.
Born in Hinton, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late William and Lily M. Meadows. She worked as a telephone operator for the former New Jersey Bell Telephone Company, retiring in 1990. She enjoyed playing BINGO, touring in the car with Dave, they loved to go everywhere together. She also was a foster grandparent in the Hamburg Area.
Surviving in addition to her companion are two sons: Terry D. Smithey husband of June O. (Boyer), Conway, SC, and Terry Lee Wilkerson, Philadelphia; two daughters: Tamara J.L. Zerbe, Centerport, and Debra J. (Zerbe) Fenstermaker, wife of Greg, Schnecksville; 10 grandchidren; and 23 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her two husbands: Legrand Smithey, and Joe R. Wilkerson; two sons: Steven E. Smithey and Michael L. Smithey; and her brothers and sisters.
