Lucille A. Werley, 79, of Upper Bern Twp., passed away Monday, August 16, 2021 in Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Robert P. Werley, passed away November 30, 2020. Robert and Lucille celebrated 62 years of  marriage together. Born in Upper Bern Twp., in her current home, she was the daughter of the late S. Stephen and Helen I. (Strause) Strause. She was a member of St. Michael's Church, Tilden Twp. She was self employed, owning and operating Strause's Fruit Farm, after taking over for her parents. She enjoyed going to dinner with the Friday Night Gang, playing Bingo, cards, and watching birds. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was a fan of the Philadelphia Phillies. She was a member of the Shartlesville Fire Co., and Beneficial Association.  She is survived by two sons: Barry L. Werley, husband of Donna R. (Huey), Upper Bern Twp., Steven S. Werley, husband of Susan J. (Hoppes), Tilden Twp.; a daughter: Diane R. (Werley) wife of Dennis J. Reeves, St. Paul, MN; four grandchildren: Shane companion of Lori, Ryan, Sabrina companion of Eddie, and Sierra companion of Chad; and three great-grandchildren: Hannah, Gabriella, and Alexander. She is also survived by a sister: Julia (Strause) Bickel, Hamburg, and her beloved cat: OJ. Lucille was predeceased by two brothers: Harold and Stanley Strause and a sister: Josephine (Strause) Metz.  Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport, PA 19533. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Tilden Twp. A viewing will be held Saturday, from 9:30 to 11:00 in the funeral home.
