Louise Berger, 88, formerly of Hamburg, died Monday, December 16, 2013 in Pinebrook Personal Care Center, Orwigsburg. She was the wife of Rudolph A. Berger, who died May 13, 1999. Born in Elkton, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Herbert B. and Helen C. (Taylor) Thomas. Louise worked for forty-five years for Exide Battery Corporation, Hamburg, retiring in 1986. She was a life member of Ladies Auxiliary of Behler-Hein Post #637 American Legion, Hamburg; Wagner-Good Post #216, Hamburg; Union Fire Company and beneficial association, Hamburg; Women of the Moose #786, Hamburg; Hamburg Game Association; and the Strausstown Fish and Game Association. Louise is survived by her best friend: Linda L. Kefalinos, Orwigsburg; and cousins: Cindy, Kay and Dottie. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
