Lloyd J. Seaman, 92, of Windsor Twp., passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023 in the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Mabel K. (Williams) Seaman. They were married on June 20, 1958 and celebrated sixty-four years of marriage.
Born in Tilden Twp., he was the son of the late Clarence and Mamie (Brobst) Seaman. Lloyd was a graduate of Hamburg High School. He worked for many years as a truck driver for Burgmeyer Bros. and E.S. Savage, Hamburg. Lloyd retired from the Schuylkill Valley School District, where he worked as a custodian. He was a member of St. Paul's (Smoke) Lutheran Church, Windsor Twp., where he was a former member of church council. Lloyd was a member of St. Paul's (Smoke) Cemetery board. He was still working on the cemetery this past summer. He was a member of Lenhartsville Fish and Game; Union Fire Co. #1, Hamburg; Virginville Fire Company; the Teamsters; and the Retirees of the Hamburg and Schuylkill Valley School Districts. Lloyd enjoyed carpentry, camping, hunting and traveling. He visited every state except for Hawaii.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters: Karen M. (Seaman) Gromis, wife of Duane, Lenhartsville; and Diane A. (Seaman) Racis, wife of Donald, Womelsdorf; and four grandchildren: Brandon M. Gromis; Brett D. Racis; and twins: Hannah N. Racis and Kristin E. Racis. Lloyd is also survived by his siblings: Wayne, Curtis, Eleanor, Esther, Marlene, Marie, Faye, Jane, Joan and Carol. He was predeceased by siblings: Lawrence, Harlan, Carl, Jean, and an unnamed infant.
Services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am from St. Paul's (Smoke) Lutheran Church, 2613 Old Rte. 22, Hamburg, PA 19526. Burial will follow in St. Paul's (Smoke) Cemetery, Windsor Twp. A viewing will be held in the church Saturday 9:00 to 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the church at the above address. Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc.
