Obituary

Linda M. Taft, 76, of Temple, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 16, 2023. She was the wife of Phillip J. Taft who passed away September 22, 2008.

Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Mildred (Schlappich) Fry. Linda worked as a caregiver. She was a member of Loyal Order of Moose #523, Hamburg. Linda enjoyed swimming, bingo, and going to the beach, casinos, fairs and markets. Her family joked that she was always late. Linda and her sister Pat were known as the "Fabulous Fry Sisters". She loved her son and grandchildren more than anything.

Linda is survived by her grandchildren: Cody P. Taft, fiance of Sabrina Hedemann; and Cassandra C. Taft; great-grandchildren: Dawson and Addisyn; her sister and best friend: Patricia A. (Fry) Dierwechter, wife of Dale Dierwechter; two nephews: Richard Dierwechter, husband of Michele; and Joey Dierwechter, husband of Michelle; great-niece: Brittany; and great-nephew: Devin. She was predeceased by her husband Phil; and son: Scott C. Taft, died April 14, 2019.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear).
