Obituary

Linda S. Martis, 56, of Temple, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 in her residence. She was the wife of Betty J. (Hess) Stoudt. Born in Terra Haute, Indiana, she was the daughter of Mary L. (Essig) Hill, Temple; and the late David W. Hill. She was a 1977 graduate of Muhlenberg High School. Linda was a paradedic/EMT for the Reading Fire Department and Kutztown Area Transport Services. She also volunteered for various emergency units in the county including Western Berks; Southern Berks; and Virginville Fire Department. Linda enjoyed reading and was also there to help others and take care of people. Surviving in addition to her wife and mother is one son: Chad A. Hill, Los Angeles, California; four daugthers: Diana, of Wyomissing; Katie L. Snyder, fiance of William D. Hepner, Cooleemee, North Carolina; Amanda L. Lengle, wife of Jennifer J. Lengle, West Lawn; and Shirene M. Martis, Hamburg; and four grandchildren. Linda is also survived by one brother: Alan Hill, Lower Alsace; and one sister: Michelle Snook, Nova Scotia, Canada. Services will be held on Sunday at 4:30 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. A viewing will be held on Sunday from 3:00 to 4:30 pm.
