Linda M. Loose, 63, of Centre Twp., died Tuesday, May 24, 2011 in Milton S. Hershey Medical Center where she was a patient since May 16. She was the wife of Thomas G. Loose. They were married on April 5, 1969 and celebrated 42 years of marriage.
Born in Tucson, Arizona, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Barnes and Alene (Mahieu) Keen. Linda was a graduate of McPherson High School, Kansas. She attended McPherson College and graduated from Kutztown University in 1972. After college, she was a substitute school teacher for Schuylkill Valley School District. Linda then worked with her husband at the family Christmas tree farm in Dauberville. She enjoyed being a volunteer for the Mid-Atlantic English Springer Spaniel Rescue (MAESSR).
Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters: Anna L. (Loose), wife of Scott Lincoln, Centre Twp.; and Emily L. Loose, Hayes, Virginia; and grandson: Sawyer. Also surviving is her step-mother: Helen Barnes, Wichita, Kansas; and mother-in-law: Erma L. (Lutz) Loose, a guest at Hearthstone at Maidencreek. Linda will be missed by the family dog: Matches.
Graveside services will be private in Fairview (Belleman's) Cemetery, Centre Twp. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to MAESSR, P.O.
