Hamburg Area High School Class of 1961's Junior Miss, Linda E. Dietrich, 79, formerly of Hamburg, a resident at Berks Heim, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022 in Berks Heim. She was the wife of the late Andrew N. Dietrich, passed away August 6, 2008.

Born in Windsor Twp., she was the daughter of the late Howard D. and Esther R. (Rentschler) Ernst. She graduated from Hamburg Area High School in 1961. Linda worked for some years at Acme, and later Price Battery. She enjoyed playing the piano, and also taught piano lessons, she also played the organ. Linda always enjoyed bingo. She loved all animals, especially her pets.

She is survived by two sons: Michael L. Dietrich, Pine Grove, and Mark A. Dietrich, Hamburg; three daughters: Lisa N. (Dietrich), wife of James D. Stewart, Greenwich Twp., Kelly S. (Dietrich) Lavigne, Dallas, TX, and Marcy K. (Dietrich) Hodorawis, wife of Kevin E. Hodorawis , Edenburg; seven grandchildren: Jennifer, Austin, Cole, Ronnie, Kayleigh, Hannah, and Pantera; and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson: Shane C. Stewart; and a brother: Ralph P. Ernst.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to: Animal Rescue League of Berks County, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508.
