Linda L. Coleman, 68, of Perry Twp., passed away with her husband by her side on Thursday, November 6, 2014 in M.S. Hershey Medical Center. She was the wife of Michael R. Coleman. They were married on May 15, 1976 and celebrated 38 years of marriage.
Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late Elmer D. and Sarah E. (Heckman) Smith. She was a graduate of Hamburg Area High School. Linda worked for Merritt Alexander Jewelry Store; and then Steinmetz Jewelers, Hamburg. She was a member of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Perry Twp. Linda was an avid writer and reader; reading three books a week. She also enjoyed playing Scrabble with her friends and meeting them every Friday at Cracker Barrel.
Surviving in addition to her husband is one son: Jeffrey M. Coleman, husband of Rachel E. Coleman, Cornwall, New York; two grandsons: Jackson and Everett; one brother: Barry L. Smith, and his wife Jean, Decatur, Tennessee; one sister: Phyllis E. (Smith), widow of George A. Bracy, Allentown; and nieces and nephews. Linda was predeceased by a brother: Allen E. Smith.
Services will be held on Monday at 4:00 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear).
