Leroy F. Hoyer, 74, of Tilden Twp., died Saturday, April 14, 2012 in Easton Alzheimer's Center where he was a patient for two months.
Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late Nelson F. and Edna M. (Tobias) Hoyer. Leroy was born on his mother's birthday. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Leroy was CEO and part owner of Rental Tools, Inc., Baltimore, retiring in 1997. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and keeping busy with his brother Richard.
Leroy is survived by four sons: Scott, Justin, Jason, and Jonathan Hoyer; three brothers: Nelson Hoyer, Hamburg; Richard J. Hoyer, husband of Patricia, Tilden Twp., and with whom he resided; and Malcolm Hoyer, husband of Sandra, Shoemakersville; and three sisters: Ethel Rarick, in North Carolina; Sandra Gehringer, wife of Fred, Fleetwood; and Kathleen Kerper, wife of Ronald, Birdsboro. He was predeceased by a son: Stephen Hoyer; and three sisters: Barbara Bitterman; Betty Reddig; and Ella Freeman.
