LeRoy I. Fritz, 73, of Greenwich Twp., died Saturday, April 6, 2013 in his residence. He was the husband of LaRue D. (Scheirer) Fritz. They were married on April 21, 1962 and celebrated 50 years of marriage. Born in Greenwich Twp., he was the son of the late LeRoy E. and Iva Jane (Smith) Fritz. LeRoy was a working foreman in the maintenance department of McConway and Torley, Kutztown, retiring in 2004. He was a shop steward for Local Union #361 GMP. LeRoy enjoyed hunting, fishing, archery and competition bow shooting. He also enjoyed working with his hands. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: LaRoy C., husband of Lori A. (Trabosh) Fritz, Hamburg; and Craig M., husband of Stacy L. (Trabosh) Fritz, Greenwich Twp.; four grandchildren: Travis Fritz, fiance of Alyssa Bleecher; Kyle Fritz, and his girlfriend Angel Mauger; and Wyatt and Kaela Fritz; and one great-granddaughter: Makenna Fritz. LeRoy is also survived by three brothers: Arthur and Byron Fritz, both of Hamburg; and Dean Fritz, Leesport; and four sisters: Ethel Miller, Fleetwood; Laura Eckert, Oley; Mary Wolfe, Blandon; and Ruth Boyer, Mertztown. He was predeceased by two brothers: Oliver and Richard Fritz; and one sister: Clara Readinger. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Friday at 2:30 pm in Berks County Memorial Gardens.
