Leon R. Reichard, 76, of Tilden Twp., died Tuesday, March 31, 2015 in his residence. He was the husband of Jean J. (Manmiller) Reichard, they were married November 27, 1977 and celebrated 37 years of marriage. Born in Quakertown, he was the son of the late Ralph A. and Mary Ellen (Mease) Reichard. He was a member of Salem Berne United Methodist Church. Leon worked at DANA corporation for 34 years before retiring in 1998. He also worked as a self-employed famer for many years. Leon was a member of Mt. Pleasant Fire Co., and the PA Farm Bureau, and he always enjoyed farming and working. Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons: Michael D. Reichard, Bellefonte; Rodney A. Reichard, Bethlehem; and Randy R. husband of Dawn A. (Weaver) Long, Myerstown; a daughter: Karen S. (Reichard) Vogel, Blandon; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother: Robert Reichard, Michigan; and three sisters: Ruth (Reichard) Waymire; Esther (Reichard) wife of Horrace Daisy, Delaware; and Laura (Reichard) Grube, Orefield. He was predeceased by three brothers: Harvey, Larry, and Grover Reichard; and two sisters: Pauline (Reichard) Cook, and Ethel (Reichard) Schwartz. Services will be held on Friday, April 3, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Salem Berne Cemetery, Tilden Twp.
