Lee N. Weigle, 89, of Lenhartsville, passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2021 in his residence. He was the husband of Elizabeth M. (Angstadt) Weigle. They were married December 5, 1954 and celebrated 66 years of marriage. Born in Maxatawny Twp., he was the son of the late Richard R. and Minnie B. (Merkel) Weigle. He was a US Army veteran. Lee was a member of Frieden's Church, Lenhartsville. In his younger days, he worked on the family farm, after the military, he went on to work at ElectroSpace Fabricators, Topton, manufacturing sheet metal for 32 years before retiring in 1996. He was a member of Lenhartsville Fish and Game and Kempton Fire Company. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting and telling stories. Surviving in addition to his wife is a son: Steven L. Weigle, husband of Tina L. (Ely), Tilden Twp.; a daughter: Beverly A. (Weigle) Thomason, Lenhartsville; 2 grandchildren: Ryan Thomason, and Krista, wife of Bryan Wagner; and three great-grandchildren: Alayna, Hailey and Leland. He was predeceased by a granddaughter: Adele; and his siblings: Arthur, Paul, Howard, Margaret, Laila, Evelyn and Catherine. Memorial services will be held Monday, November 8, 2021 at 7:30 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear). A visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 pm in the funeral home. Private burial will be in Frieden's Cemetery, Lenhartsville.
