LaRue C. Dietrich, 84, of Shoemakersville, was reunited with her husband Francis on October 4, 2024, who predeceased her in 2010.

Born in Jonestown, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Eva (Smith) Acker. LaRue was all about her family. She and Franny had three children: Debra, wife of Gary Kohler; Brian; and Denise, wife of Dennis Barlet. There are four grandchildren: Kristina, wife of Duane Miller; Shelby Forester; Amanda, wife of Michael Boyer; and Dakota Barlet; and four great-grandchildren: Trent, Addisyn, Hunter and Dawsin. LaRue was predeceased by her half-sister: Dolores Kirby; her grandson: Andrew Dietrich; and two great-grandchildren: Donavin Yenser and Javan Forester. LaRue raised all of her children, as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were her world and what kept her going. She enjoyed camping, bingo, crossword puzzles and lottery scratch-offs.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 2:00 pm at Zion's Cemetery of Perry Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the American Heart Association, P.O.
