Obituary

Kermit C. Grim, 75, of Tilden Twp., died Tuesday, March 27, 2012 in his residence. He was the husband of Evelyn M. (Fisher) Lasko Grim. They were married on May 6, 2006. Kermit was predeceased by his first wife of 46 years, Mary Jane (Drupp) Grim, who died December 16, 2002.

Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Irvin and Margaret (Brobst) Grim. Kermit worked as a candy-making machine operator for 40 years for Luden's until retiring in 1994. He was a member of St. Michael's Church Tilden Twp. Kermit was a member of the Hamburg Game Association and the Shoemakersville Fire Company and beneficial association. He enjoyed trapshooting at the area gun clubs, especially the Daniel Boone Rod and Gun Club. Kermit also enjoyed coin collecting, wood working, fishing, and going for long drives. He loved to tell stories of the "Old Days". He also liked John Wayne and enjoyed watching cowboy movies.
Surviving in addition to his wife Evelyn are two daughters: Joan M. (Grim), wife of John C. Minnich, Centre Twp.; and Mary A. (Grim), wife of Jacobus "Jay" Bouman, Bernville; and one step-daughter: Patsy A. (Lasko), wife of Dennis Aiman, Reading. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Jeffrey Minnich, Ashley Shobe, Jarrad Minnich, and Aubrey and Jazmin Bouman; seven step-grandchildren: Sherry Feese, Danielle Hortz, Elmer Lee Wenrich, Beth Ann Wagner, Kenneth Lasko, and Kelly and Brandy Dieter; two great-grandchildren: Benjamin and Kristopher Shobe; and eight step-great-grandchildren: Charles Black, Lucas, Kane Wagner, Zachary Wenrich, Brody and Jacob Lasko, and Logan and Travis Feese. There are also two brothers: Richard Grim, Temple; and Clifford Grim, Shippensburg; and one sister: Diane (Grim) Long, Reading. Kermit was predeceased by a step-son: Gurney L. Lasko; and a step-daughter: Connie A. (Lasko) Dieter.

Services will be on Monday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Hamburg (off street parking in rear). Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. A viewing will be held on Sunday 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Monday 10:00 to 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be sent to American Heart Association, 212 East Broad Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018.
