Keith A. Merkel, 52, of Perry Twp., died Monday, January 2, 2017 in his residence. Born in Reading, he was the son of John D. and Roma M. (Reinhart) Merkel. He had worked at the Fastener Place, Hamburg until he became disabled. Surviving in addition to his parents are two brothers: Ronald J. husband of Amy S. (Heckman) Merkel, Perry Twp., and John O. husband of Danielle Merkel, Shoemakersville; a sister: Debra A. (Merkel) wife of Robert J. Clay, Shoemakersville; a niece: Courtney M. Merkel; a nephew: Luke J. Merkel; and several cousins. Services will be held Friday, January 6, 2017 at 6:00 pm from Zion's Church, 770 Zion Church Rd. Hamburg, PA 19526.
