Kathryn E. Stoudt, 93, of Hamburg, died Wednesday, October 25, 2017 in Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She was the wife of Norman J. Stoudt, died October 4, 2005. Born in Tilden Twp., she was the daughter of the late Morris K. and Mabel M. (Dunkleberger) Seaman. Kathryn was a member of St. Michael's Church; Tilden Twp. Kathryn worked as a factory worker at Wolfe Underwear Co., Shoemakersville. She worked as a store clerk at the former Silco Store, Hamburg which later became Dollar General. She worked there for ten to fifteen years during the late 1960's and into the 1970's. She was a member of Union Fire Co. No. 1 of Hamburg and Beneficial Association, Central Berks Fire Co. and Beneficial Association; Ladies Aid Society at Church, and Blue Mountain Senior Citizens, Shartlesville. Kathryn enjoyed playing cards with her friends and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She is survived by two children: Karl N., husband of Susan J. (Strause) Stoudt, Upper Bern Twp.; and Elaine M. (Stoudt) wife of Allyn L. Swavely, Muhlenberg Twp.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister: Mary P. (Seaman) Henn; and two infant brothers. Services will be held Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street Hamburg (Off-street parking in rear). Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Tilden Twp. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am in the funeral home.
