Karen L. Correll Ludwig, 56, formerly of Hamburg, died Friday, May 4, 2012 in Schuylkill Medical Center South Jackson Street, Pottsville.

Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of Dorothy M. (Schappell) Sayer, Windsor Twp.; and the late Joseph C. Correll. Karen was a U.S. Army veteran. She received an Associate's Degree in Computer Programming and a secondary degree in Accounting. She worked for twelve years as a waitress for TGI Friday's, Wyomissing, until December 2006. Karen last worked as a waitress for Cracker Barrell, Hamburg. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hamburg. Karen loved The Rocky Horror Picture Show. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan; and enjoyed music and her cats.

Surviving in addition to her mother is one son: Zachary B. Ludwig, and his wife Sarah, Richmond, Virginia; two grandchildren: Helen and Kyle; one sister: Gail M. (Correll), wife of Alvin James, Tilden Twp.; and her life-partner: Raymond (Kenny) Wayne. Karen is also survived by two nieces and one nephew and several aunts and uncles.

Services will be on Wednesday at 2:00 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Hamburg (off street parking in rear) with Rev. Willard J. Uhler, Jr. officiating. Burial with military honors will be in St. Michael's Church, Tilden Twp. A viewing will be held Tuesday 7:00 to 9:00 pm and Wednesday 1:00 to 2:00 pm.
