Joyce P.E. Machemer, 75, of Muhlenberg Twp., died Thursday, January 16, 2014 in ManorCare, Laureldale. She was the widow of Donald F. Machemer, died November 1980. Born in Hamburg, she was the daughter of the late Lester W. and Stella I. (Derr) Reidenhour. Joyce worked as a baker for Bachman's for forty years. While at Bachman's, she was also a shop steward. Joyce enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and watching Jeopardy. Joyce is survived by three daughters: Valerie L., wife of Glenn A. Burkert, Hamburg; Cynthia T. Dabashinsky, Schuylkill Haven; and Stephanie P., wife of Lee James, Shoemakersville; twelve grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her companion: Ray E. Pearson, Muhlenberg Twp., and with whom she resided; one brother: Kenneth S.R. Reidenhour, Kempton; and one sister: Mae V.A. Heckman, Shoemakersville. Joyce was predeceased by two daughters: Rochelle A. Machemer and Sheila M. Adams; one great-granddaughter: Mercedes Faith Mozloom; and one brother: Lester C.C. Reidenhour.
