Josephine Stoner, 85, of Muhlenberg Twp., died Tuesday, September 6, 2011 in the Reading Hospital where she was a patient since Friday. She was the wife of Vincent C. Stoner. They celebrated twenty years of marriage. Josephine was predeceased by her first husband, Stanley Zacharzewski, died November 22, 1985.

Born in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lena (Guarino) Morrione. Josephine worked as a telephone operator for thirty-four years, first for the Hamburg Tuberculosis Sanitorium and then for the Hamburg Center, retiring February 28, 1986. She was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband is one step-son: Alan R. Stoner, husband of Kathie, Lynchburg, Virginia; one step-daughter: Pamela S. (Stoner), wife of William Cooper, Robesonia; three step-grandchildren: Jason Stoner; Janet Gephart; and David Cooper; and three step-great-grandchildren: Logan and Ella Gephart; and Jacob Stoner. She is also survived by one brother: Harry Morrione, husband of Barbara, Norristown; and four sisters: Mary, wife of Andrew Zollo, Norristown; Francis, widow of Frank Calafati, Montgomeryville; Theresa, widow of Samuel Messina, Willow Grove; and Rose, wife of Eldred Bourne, Huntsville, Alabama. She was predeceased by a sister: Antoinette DelPizzo.

A memorial service will be held on Friday at 4:00 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg. Burial will be private in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Norristown. A visitation with the family will be held in the funeral home on Friday 3:00 to 4:00 pm.
