Josephine C. Siekierka, 83, of Centre Twp., died Friday, September 23, 2011 in her residence. Her husband, Leonard J. Siekierka, died September 12, 2010.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Walter J. and Lottie Debkowski. She was an active member of Schuylkill Valley Bible Church, Centre Twp.
Josephine is survived by one son: Michael G., husband of Joni K. (Peterson) Siekierka, Mohnton; and two daughters: Sandra L. (Siekierka), wife of Glenn Boyer, Alsace Twp.; and Christine (Siekierka) DeLucia, fiance of Brian Hague, Centre Twp., and with whom Josephine resided. There are also four grandchildren, one great-granddaughter; and one sister: Irene, wife of Sam Barr, Reading. Josephine was predeceased by a son: Frank Kantner; and a granddaughter.
Memorial services will be on Thursday at 7:30 pm in Schuylkill Valley Bible Church, 693 Irish Creek Road, Mohrsville, PA 19541. A visitation with the family will be held in the church on Thursday 6:30 to 7:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Schuylkill Valley Bible Church, at the above address.
