John M. Young, 54, of Richmond Twp., passed away in his residence on Saturday, January 10, 2015. He was the husband of Stacey A. (Bailey) Young. Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late Vincent I. and D. Elaine (Noll) Young. John was a 1978 graduate of Hamburg Area High School; and earned a degree in hotel/restaurant management from the Culinary Arts of Delaware. He last worked at Cabela's, Tilden Twp. John was a member of the Shoemakersville Fire Company. He loved animals and enjoyed cooking. John especially loved being with his friends - they were his family. Surviving in addition to his wife Stacey are a niece and nephew; and his eleven birds and two cats. John wanted his life celebrated, not mourned. A Celebrate of Life Service will be held on Wednesday at 11:30 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Fairview (Belleman's) Cemetery, Centre Twp. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Wednesday 10:00 to 11:30 am.
