John C. Strausser, 60, of Bethlehem, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022.

Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late George H. and Amelia A. (Moyer) Strausser. John was a 1979 graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School. He worked at East Penn Manufacturing for thirty-five years. John loved riding motorcycles, working on his trucks, woodworking, hunting, fishing, going to the beach, golfing and collecting tools. He especially enjoyed spending time with his daughter and his dogs. John missed his faithful companion Jay, who passed away in September.

John is survived by his daughter: Hallie J. Strausser, significant other of Joshua Mitman, Kutztown; his significant other: Sandra Hayes, Bethlehem; three brothers: George H. Strausser, III, Leesport; James T. Strausser, Centre Twp.; and Mark A. Strausser, Meadville, Crawford Co.; and one sister: Sallyann M. Strausser, Laureldale. He is also survived by four nieces: Ashley (Matt), Paige, Sarah and Aimee; one nephew: Charlie; and one great-nephew: Odin.

A service to celebrate John's life will be held on Saturday at 10:30 am at Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens. A visitation with the family will be held in the funeral home Saturday 9:00 to 10:30 am. Those attending are asked to wear casual attire.
