John L. McNelis, "Johnny Mak", 78, of Kutztown, died September 9, 2013 in the hospice unit of Lebanon VA Medical Center. Born in Wayne, PA, he was the son of the late William J., Sr., and Anna (Boyle) McNelis. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. John worked as a house painter and truck driver. John is survived by his sister: Helen Masciangelo, of Wayne; as well as other family members. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at 2:00 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear). A visitation will be held on September 22 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be private in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
