John C. Lau, 54, of Hamburg, died unexpectedly on Thursday, February 13, 2014 in St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Twp. He was the husband of Tracey L. (Berger) Lau, Hamburg.
Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late George G. and Kathleen M. (Kelchner) Lau. John was a 1977 graduate of Hamburg Area High School. He had worked as a union carpenter for Pro4MX, Inc., Schuylkill Haven. John enjoyed the woods and liked to have a good time.
Surviving in addition to his wife Tracey are three sons: Jordan S. Lau, companion of Amanda, Bernville; Nathaniel F. Lau and Ian D. Lau, both of Hamburg; one daughter: Jessica N. Wagner, and her husband Dan, Hamburg; and four grandchildren: Kahlor O. Lau, Imogen V. Lau, Oliver H. Lau, Reese Wagner. John is also survived by three brothers: Harry M. "Mike" Lau, and his wife Cindy, Arkansas; Barry P. "Butch" Lau, Hamburg; and James C. Lau, and his wife Flo, Denver, PA; and four sisters: Kathleen M. Sievert, and her husband Steve, California; Karen V. Kelly, widow of Doug, Washington State; Barbara J. Findling, Hamburg; and Mary E. Brensinger, and her husband Randy, Mohrsville. He was predeceased by a brother: George G. Lau, Jr., and his wife Carol.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
