John L. Janiszewski, 90, of Flying Hills, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024 in Reading Hospital and Medical Center. He was the husband of Marguerite L. "Peggy" (Kellagher) Janiszewski. They were married March 2, 1957 and celebrated 67 years of marriage.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Anthony K. and Stella J. (Tobolski) Janiszewski. He graduated from Reading High School in 1952. John was a US Army Veteran. He was a member at Church of St. Benedict, Mohnton. He worked as a Information Systems Manager at the former Luden's, and then Hershey Chocolate Company for 36 years before retiring in 1995. John enjoyed golfing and hunting. He was always having a good time with family and friends.
He is survived by two daughters: Kim A. (Janiszewski) Wagner, wife of Stevan A., Sinking Spring, and Kathleen L. (Janiszewski) Minnich, Cumru Twp.; two grandchildren: Kyle husband of Lindsay (Fieroh) Wagner, and Ashley (Wagner) wife of Randy Dalbey, both of Downingtown; and four great-grandchildren: Minka and Siobhan Dalbey, and Ashton and Willow Wagner. He was predeceased by his brother: Rev. Robert Tobolski, MSC
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a future date. Private entombment with the family has been held at Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to: St. Benedict's Memorial Fund, 2020 Chestnut Hill Road, Mohnton, PA 19540.
