John M. Hill, 74, of Perry Twp., passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015 in Lehigh Commons, Macungie. He was the husband of Marie M. (Schrack) Hill. They were married on August 13, 1959 and celebrated fifty-five years of marriage. Born in Perry Twp., he was the son of the late John L. and Melva V. (Brobst) Hill. John was the founder, owner, operator and designer of JMH Trailers, Perry Twp. He was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and a member of the Hamburg Congregation of Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall. John was very involved in assembly and convention both locally and internationally. He gave much of his time and resources to promote bible education. John was a hard worker. He was very passionate about his love of horses and enjoyed taking family and friends on wagon rides. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: Bart W. HIll, and his wife Mary, VanBuren, Maine; and Jesse J. Hill, Perry Twp.; one daughter: Beth A. (Hill), wife of Jeb Humma, Perry Twp.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. John is also survived by one brother: Daniel T. Hill; and two sisters: Anna (Hill) Billig and Mary (Hill) Grim Fessler, all of Perry Twp. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at 5:00 pm from the Leesport Farmers Market Banquet Hall, 312 Gernant's Church Road, Leesport.
