Jerome E. Blackwell, 80, of Shoemakersville, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023 in his residence.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Allie P. and Josie V. (Turner) Blackwell. He worked many years as a truck driver, last working for Dairy One. He enjoyed working on things, driving, meeting new people, and talking to those new people. He was a very giving man.

He is survived by a son: Jerome A. "Skip" Blackwell, husband of Jennifer L. (Long), Upper Bern Twp.; two daughters: Rachel A. Blackwell, wife of Jodie L. Binner, Bernville, and Elizabeth M. (Blackwell) Brunner, Fleetwood; sixteen grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister: Carrie (Blackwell) Dabrowski, Arizona. He was predeceased by a son: Reuben E. Blackwell; a brother: Oliver "Lucky" Blackwell; and a sister: Rosemarie (Blackwell) Rentschler.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 29, 2023 at 1:00 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport. Burial will follow in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Tuckerton. A viewing will be held from 12 noon to 1:00 pm.
