Jeremy S. Ritter, 54, of Bowmansville, and formerly of Hamburg, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026 in the Reading Hospital.
born in Reading, he was the son of Jacqueline M. (Wolfe) Smith, Bowmansville. He was predeceased by his father: Daniel R. Ritter, Jr.; and step-father: William L. Smith. Jeremy was a 1989 graduate of Hamburg Area High School. He worked for CJ&S, Hamburg; and Conestoga Wood, Denver. He was a member of Carpenter's Union Local 445. Jeremy was a member of Wagner-Good Post 216 VFW, Hamburg; Hamburg Game Association; Behler-Hein Post 637 American Legion, Hamburg; Shoemakersville Fire Company and Loyal Order of Moose 523, Hamburg. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing in pool leagues.
Surviving in addition to his mother is his sister: Michelle N. (Ritter), wife of Scott W. Ainsworth, Gambrills, Maryland; niece: Courtney M. (Ainsworth), wife of Jeff Ivess, Gambrills, Maryland; nephew: Ryan A. Ainsworth, Owings Mills, Maryland; and great-nephew: Hunter W. Ivess. He is also survived by two uncles: Robert E. Wolfe, Jr., husband of Joy, Ashland and Lawrence P. Ritter, Pottsville; and aunt: Robin F. Wolfe, Hamburg.
