Jeane L. Fasnacht, 70, of Strausstown, died Thursday, November 6, 2014 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in West Brunswick Twp., Schuylkill Co. She was the wife of Fred A. "Derf" Fasnacht.
Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late Rufus M. and Grace M. (Keener) Wertz. She was a 1962 graduate of Hamburg Area High School. Jeane worked as a bookkeeper for Trainer's for 47 years. She was an animal lover, and enjoyed going on bus trips to New York City with her twin sister, Joane.
Surviving in addition to her husband is one daughter: Sarah A. Fasnacht, fiance of Mark I. Watson, Windsor Twp.; two step grandchildren: Courtney E. Watson, and Malachi I. Watson, both of Windsor Twp. Jeane is also survived by her twin sister: Joane L. (Wertz) Niadna, Upper Tulpehocken Twp., and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother: William D. Wertz, and three sisters: Kathryn C. (Wertz) Trump, Mary W. (Wertz) Glore, and Ruby R. (Wertz) Dubble.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 8:00 P.M. in Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear).
